What cookies and similar technologies are
Cookies are small files or values that a website or one of its service providers can store in a browser. Similar technologies include localStorage, sessionStorage, pixels, tags and other mechanisms through which a browser stores identifiers or sends information about events and interactions.
This Cookie Policy applies to trendcodd.com and explains the categories of technologies we use, their purposes and the controls available to you.
Strictly necessary technologies are used when required for the operation, security or a function you explicitly request. Analytics, advertising and marketing technologies are activated only after the relevant consent has been given.
Consent rules
Where storing information on a device or accessing information already stored on it requires consent, Trendcodd applies the relevant ePrivacy rules, the GDPR where applicable, and the national rules that implement or supplement those requirements. For visitors in the European Economic Area, optional analytics, advertising and marketing technologies remain disabled until an affirmative choice is made.
Where a technology is not strictly necessary, you can accept all optional categories, reject them, or make a category-by-category choice. Consent can be changed or withdrawn at any time through Cookie Settings. Withdrawing consent does not affect processing that was lawful before the withdrawal.
Trendcodd cookie categories
Technologies required for security, session handling, storing the consent choice and functions explicitly requested by the visitor.
Google Analytics 4 for measuring visits, sessions and site events. This category is enabled only after consent.
Google Ads and Meta Pixel for conversion measurement, attribution and advertising functions. After Advertising consent, defined Meta events are also sent server-side through Meta Conversions API.
Klaviyo for marketing profiles and linking website interactions with campaigns or subscriptions. This category is enabled only after consent.
Necessary technologies
These technologies support security, session continuity and functions that you explicitly request. They are not used by Trendcodd for advertising profiling.
| Name / technology | Type | Provider | Purpose | Duration |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| PHPSESSID | Cookie | Trendcodd | Maintains the server session and website functions that depend on it. | Session |
| trendcodd.trendAi.response.v3 | sessionStorage | Trendcodd | Maintains limited state required to continue a Trend AI conversation in the current browser session. | Until the browser tab or session ends |
| trendcodd.trendAi.teaser.v1 | sessionStorage | Trendcodd | Stores whether Trend AI teaser messages were shown or the widget was opened so they are not repeated in the same browser session. | Until the browser tab or session ends |
| trendcodd_consent_v1 | localStorage | Trendcodd | Stores your cookie-category choices, consent version and the date on which the choice was saved. | Up to 12 months |
| __kla_off | First-party cookie | Trendcodd | Enforces the visitor's choice to keep Klaviyo onsite tracking disabled after Marketing consent is withdrawn or disabled. | Up to 12 months; removed when Marketing consent is enabled. |
Google Analytics 4
Google Analytics 4 (GA4) is used to measure visits, sessions, interactions and the performance of website content. GA4 analytics cookies are enabled only after consent for the Analytics category.
| Name | Provider | Purpose | Typical duration |
|---|---|---|---|
| _ga | Google Analytics | Distinguishes users for analytics measurement. | Up to 2 years, depending on configuration and browser restrictions. |
| _ga_3W835HHP9V | Google Analytics | Maintains session state for the relevant GA4 property. | Up to 2 years, depending on configuration and browser restrictions. |
Google Ads, Meta Pixel and Meta Conversions API
Google Ads and Meta Pixel are used for advertising conversion measurement, attribution and related advertising functions. After consent for the Advertising category, Trendcodd also sends the defined Meta events server-side through Meta Conversions API.
For Meta, the current Trendcodd implementation records PageView, BookingStart, PhoneClick, EmailClick, SocialClick, CTAClick and Lead. Browser and server copies use the same event ID so Meta can deduplicate the same action received through both channels. Conversions API does not create a separate Trendcodd browser cookie.
| Name / pattern | Provider | Purpose | Typical duration |
|---|---|---|---|
| _gcl_aw / _gcl_* | Google Ads | Stores information associated with advertising clicks and conversions for measurement and attribution. | Commonly up to 90 days for a range of Google advertising and measurement cookies. |
| _gcl_au | Supports advertising measurement and experimentation where the relevant configuration is used. | Commonly up to 90 days. | |
| _fbp | Meta Platforms | Meta browser identifier used by Meta Pixel for website-event measurement and, when available, sent with Meta Conversions API events for matching and attribution. | According to Meta configuration and browser restrictions. |
| _fbc | Meta Platforms | Meta click identifier stored when a visit carries a Meta advertising click ID such as fbclid; when available, it is sent with Meta Conversions API events for attribution and matching. | According to Meta configuration and browser restrictions. |
Klaviyo
Klaviyo is used for newsletter management and marketing automation and, where consent has been given, to associate website interactions with a marketing profile. Website tracking through Klaviyo is placed in the Marketing and personalisation category.
| Name | Type | Purpose | Typical duration |
|---|---|---|---|
| __kla_id | First-party cookie | Helps recognise a visitor and associate website activity with a Klaviyo profile where applicable. | Depending on identification state and browser restrictions; it may persist for up to 2 years. |
| _kx | URL parameter / sessionStorage | Carries the identifier added to Klaviyo email links and stores it in sessionStorage so the visit can be associated with the relevant Klaviyo profile. | Until the browser tab or session ends. |
How Cookie Settings works
When there is no valid saved choice, Cookie Settings presents the available consent categories. Necessary technologies remain active, while optional categories are disabled by default.
- Accept All enables all optional categories.
- Reject All leaves only necessary technologies enabled.
- Save My Preferences stores the category choices you have made.
The choice is stored for up to 12 months unless it is deleted by your browser or a new choice is required earlier because the purposes, providers or consent model materially change.
Third-party providers
Where the relevant consent has been given, Google, Meta and Klaviyo may receive technical information and identifiers associated with their analytics, advertising or marketing technologies. Processing performed by those providers for their own purposes is also governed by their applicable privacy notices and contractual terms.
Where processing involves an international transfer of personal data, the transfer safeguards and mechanisms described in our Privacy Policy apply where relevant.
Browser settings and deletion
You can also delete cookies and website storage through your browser. Doing so may remove the stored consent choice, in which case Trendcodd may ask you to select your preferences again. Browser privacy settings, extensions and similar tools can additionally restrict or remove certain technologies.
Browser controls do not replace our obligation to provide Cookie Settings and to withhold optional technologies where applicable consent has not been given.
Visitors from other countries
Trendcodd uses a consent-first model in which optional analytics, advertising and marketing technologies remain disabled until an affirmative choice is made. Where additional mandatory rules apply to a particular visitor, market or technology, the consent experience and available privacy controls may be adapted to comply with those requirements.
Changes to this policy
We update this Cookie Policy when the technologies, providers, purposes or applicable legal requirements materially change. Where a change affects the scope of consent, we may request a new choice instead of treating an earlier choice as covering a materially different purpose.
